Painting with metal is such a fun technique and so versatile! It's one of my favorites. This necklace had been lurking in the back of my mind since I saw Alice last spring. And when I bought the Tim clockfaces - they were screaming "Alice in Wonderland". So, with the perfect technique this week, I was set to go. I whitewashed the clockface with snowcap acrylic paint and colored the flowers with red and aqua inks, rubbing off the excess. I stamped the white rabbit on shrink film so he can keep an eye on the time. I added some game spinners to the necklace for an industrial look and to break up the chain. Key and lock toggle complete the necklace. I love the way it turned out and hope that it inspires you to find your own way to Wonderland this week.

Holy cow, Sarah, this is STUNNING! Talk about rocking the altered metal-- girl, you made a fashion statement here! I love this piece-- it's magical. The white rabbit charm is darling, and the way you put this together is just brilliant! You could sell these on ETSY by the truckload!
