Rachel, MsRabbott, challenged us us in her "I Hear Voices" VCBN challenge to scrap "voices that we have heard in our lives. My Mom is the voice that influenced me most growing up. I found this family picture when I was looking for a picture of her, and decided to begin my heritage album with this page.
In the journaling, which I don't think you can read.
I say this is me with my father, great grandmother, grandmother, and mother. But Mother's voice is the one that guided me most. I can hear her saying "pretty is as pretty does".(not in the journaling.)
Anyway thanks to Rachels challenge I am started on my heritage album! Isn't that what this is all about? To inspire us? The paper, frames and stickers are from Deja Views Time&Again. Flower is from Paper Studio. Again, sorry for the photo. It looks black, but it is Navy. Thanks for looking!

Beautiful layout, and so true is the saying you remember of your mother's. This is a wonderful first page of your album and I love your choice of bg paper. You know I'm a vintage sort of girl, so this layout is right up my alley. You are doing fantastic cranking out this gorgeous pages.

How wonderful that the challenge led you to start your heritage album. It's a great first page--that paper is perfect! I really like how you did the title with that overlapping O. Reminds me of the old fairytale books!
