This is kind of late, but it's for Monday's Technique Challenge, TLC310. For this challenge I dry embossed (by hand) my frame around the flower and then heat embossed with Gold embossing powder.
I hadn't planned on making a card this evening, but card making is therapy for me and comforting.
I felt weepy and needed something to keep my mind busy.
Today is (Feb 4th) World Cancer Day, and it is also the one year Anniversary of my Mother's passing. It goes without saying, I really miss her.
My Mother loved getting greeting cards, and I remember how much it would mean to her when she would return home from the hosptial after one of her cancer treatments and find a card in her mailbox. It would really help to lift her spirits. I now know much receiving a greeting card can mean to someone. So it's my inspiration to keep making cards...

Not late, just beautiful. Great card - it is very elegant. Love that little butterfly. Glad that you can find some comfort in creating. Big hugs from the snowy north. Your Mother would be delighted to know that you are inspired by her to bring smiles to the faces of others with your talents. Keep it up! Those anniversaries of sad events can be tough...

I love your card, and I understand your feelings. I lost my mom and sister in February one year apart. I hate February now, but it's getting better. Hang in there. It does get easier. jan

This is just beautiful~love the gold embossing! A beautifully done card! And I know how you feel~it's hard not having your Mom. I lost mine to lung cancer 12 years ago and I still miss her. I'm glad that making cards help fill the void. Hugs

beautiful card, love the gold embossing. Sometimes all we have are the memories. It's those memories we hold on to that help us remember the good times and can bring comfort. TFS
