These are beautiful! Do you have a set of instructions? I made gift card holders as well out of envelopes, but they are different from this.

Instruction to make an envelope-gift-card holder:
a) Wheel or stamp front-side of envelope as desired.
Optional: stamp backside of envy (to become 'inside' of gift card holder).
b) Turn envelope over with back-side facing you with flap open and "upwards"... fold & crease the envelope in half (left side to right side).
c) Open envelope back up. Cut the FLAP only on or near the new crease (resulting in a tall narrow V cut-away).
d) Optional: Use 1 1/4" circle punch to punch away 1/2 of a circle from the right-hand side of the back (to create a 'notch' so that an inserted gift-card will remain visible & have an easy way to grasp the gift-card)... if this is clear as mud, see picture for location of this step: Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
e) Tuck right side's flap to inside of envelope.
f) Seal backside's left side flap closed.
g) Add ribbon around envelope so it can be tied closed.
h) Enbellish front side of envelope as desired, matching color layers of next step if desirable.
i) Layer CS as desired, 1/4 sheet finished size.
j) Adhere finished envelope to layered CS.
f) The right side's flap is inserted 'inside'. Insert gift in the right side. On the outside, add ribbon & embellish as desired. PS: I used a large circle punch on the right side so gift is more visible.
