And the 2nd Challenge is the Fan Club January Challenge of "Love is in the Air"
For this card, I embossed 2 separate pieces of cs: one with the Textile ef and the other with the Swiss dots ef. I then trimmed the 2 pieces of cs down so that when I put them together, the Textile-embossed cs was about half the height of the Dots-embossed cs - there was a slight overlay so that I could tape them together easily at the back. BUT before I stuck them together, I punched a piece of cs with my Lace Doily edge punch, added a Scor-Pal line just above it (hard to see in photo) which made it easier to butt it up underneath the Textile embossing so as it would be straight when I attached the 3 pieces together.
I mounted all this onto some black cs, then, to hide the join, I added the black/gold ribbon with the red-sequined one over the top, then attached this to my white cs base.
The sentiment is up on 1mm mounts (dimensionals) and the red sparkly heart was punched from red sparkly cs. The ribbons and red heart are VERY sparkly IRL and it was hard to capture it with my camera. I have a close-up photo on my Blog so you can see it better.
I am also popping this card into the Crop Stop Challenge #4 of "Make a good impression" where you have to use 2 different patterns of embossing. I have links and deets on my Blog.
