I made this card for a couple of Challenges. The first is the current SCS CAS103 Challenge of "Flourishes" - see this link for the deets: CAS103 - Flourishes (1/24/11) by Miss Boo at Splitcoaststampers The second is the SCS Free for All F4A47 of "Texturize me" where you have to use at least 2 different embossing folders - see this link for the deets: F4A47 - Texturize Me! - 01/14/10 by Wendybell at Splitcoaststampers And the third Challenge is the SCS Fan Club January Challenge of "Love is in the air" - I have an accompanying one to upload shortly for the Fan Club Challenge. Watch this space LOL :-)
For this card, I embossed 2 separate pieces of cs: one with the hearts ef and the other with the Budding Vine ef (note I did have to run the hearts-embossed cs through my CB twice so I could get the pattern on the cs to the width I wanted - I hope that makes sense!!). Note the hearts ef is from a CB die and folder set called "Love Language". I then trimmed the 2 pieces of cs down so that when I put them together, the hearts-embossed cs was about half the height of the Budding Vine-embossed cs - there was a slight overlay so that I could tape them together easily at the back. To hide the join at the front, I glued a piece of white lace over the top. That piece of lace is OLD shop stock from a Haberdashery business my parents ran in the 1970's - so is over 30 years old! The embossed panels are up on foam tape so there is a bit of height between them and the cs base.
Then, because the CAS Challenge was "Flourishes", I decided to stamp the sentiment onto one of my Spellbinder Fancy Tags die (I thought it looked pretty "flourishy" to me!), and then diecut the 2 Vintage corners from my Vintage Die set as some "bonus" flourishes and popped all of these up on mounts ie: dimensionals (these are the only "flourishy-looking things" that I have). After I stuck the Vintage corners on, I then thought maybe it looked "too much", but they ain't comin' off now 'cos it will rip the cs! Oh well! What do you think? Too much? Maybe I should have used red cs? My mojo has gone missing - if you find it, let me know.........
The heart on the sentiment panel was punched from some glittery red cs.
I am also popping this card into the Crop Stop Challenge #4 of "Make a good impression" where you have to use 2 different patterns of embossing. I have links and deets on my Blog.

I think its just gorgeous, dont think your mojo is missing, and try it on red also, would be quite pretty, but the white on white is awesome. Just beautiful!! TFS!! Gotta get those new folders, love them.
