Today's color challenge was to use old olive, night of navy, and daffodil delight and neutrals of choice, so I decided to see if I could make them work for a scenery card that I need to make. I don't know what to think about the result. This is the first time I have tried to create a scene with only current SU stamps. I am also left wondering how or where to put a happy birthday sentiment on the front of the card (I am thinking of stamping it directly onto the card in the open sky space). Any and all suggestions would be welcomed. Any way it has been sooo.. long since I have participated in a challenge and uploaded a card that I thought I would post it anyway. I brayered the sky with daffodil delight and then used the night of navy. I created the horizon using a piece of torn paper and dragged a chocolate chip stampin spot along it and then stamped the trees and used an aqua painter to add a little hint of green to the trees. I stamped the buffalo and used my black marker to make him into a silhouette ( I feel that the result may be a little bit too much of a black blob). Previous to this I had used direct ink to paper to put in the ground using old olive and chocolate chip. After the buffalo was in place I used the tips of the trees to go around the scene and sort of frame it in. So here he is in all his splendor (or not) with no where to go. TFL
