As if we hadn't enough snow already - it's snowing again. I should have made this a Spring card, but inspired by the thrush I saw singing when I was out walking yesterday, here it is. Third time lucky on the construction of this, though I see it's a bit crooked after all that - have to fix that after dinner.
This is almost a full sheet of card folded in half, with about an inch trimmed off the top.
I stamped the tree with Walnut Stain and embossed with clear ep. Sponged with Stormy Sky, stamped Canvas with Stormy Sky. Stitched layers of felt on for snow for one aspect of dimension that Kim suggested. Stamped the snowflakes with Versamark, embossed with silver EP, punched and then painted over with Perfect Pearls mixed with water. Layered up on plain circles for strength and sponged the edges. I threaded some metallic thread through from the back and hung the snowflakes from the tree using foam to pop them up. The bird was inked with markers and then embossed with clear EP before being popped up. I distressed the edges of the panel and sponged with Faded Jeans. Stuck to a piece of white card, stitched all the way round and then trimmed, before popping up onto the base layer. I added an extra snowflake to cover the end of the stitching - one of the many things I saw in hindsight was that I should have started the stitching nearer a corner where the flake would look better.
I used some Liquid Pearls and glitter to add a little snow along the branches .
