This is my card for the CAS98 challenge, which was inspired by THIS APRON
The apron inspired the color scheme of the card, and even though the pattern on the apron is not floral, it made me think of flowers.
I was inspired to do a get well card, in honor of Miss Boo and Resqbarbie, since they are not feeling well today.
All products are Stampin Up.
The picture of the front of the card is truer to real life, as far as coloring goes. The picture of the inside of the card came out looking bright, but it's actually the same piece of paper. So for "true-to-life" coloring, go by the first picture.
The base of the card is Old Olive. The designer paper is from the Cottage Wall selection, out of the 2009-2010 catalog.
The image is stamped on Whisper White, and the purple behind it is Rich Razzleberry.
The image is from the Fun&Fast Notes stamp set. It's inked in Early Espresso. The cup was colored in with Early Espresso using a blender pen. The flowers were colored in using a combination of markers and bledner pens. Colors: Daffodil Delight, Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive.
The ribbon is Whisper White 5/8" satin ribbon. The little flower is from the Punch Potpourri set. I colored one flower on the stamp with a Rich Razzleberry marker, stamped it, then cut it out. The circle was made using the 1" punch, and then I just taped the flower on top of the circle.
I just used my tape runner to make the pleats in the ribbon.
I used the Scallop Edge punch to create the scallop edging.
Inside:
The sentiment is from the Thoughts And Prayers set, the flowers are from Punch Potpourri. The ink is Rich Razzleberry.
I really like the way this card came out. I hope you like it too!
