Greetings to all. This is my very first upload and it's not even stamped...it's more of a trial run to see if I can even do this correctly...
This card and envelope were made for my neighbor's wedding.
I wanted to keep a Chinese Theme, so the envelope has the yin/yang symbol with pearl embellishments as the "dots in the middle".
The card is white CS and the mat is pale pink mulberry paper, adhered with permanent snail tape. The main image is a print out of an old image from my collection of hard copy images #tissuepaper# and I have no idea when I saved it or where the original is taken from - my parents lived in Singapore so I think it is from a visit to them ten or more years ago. - I scanned the image. Printed it out on my laser printer. Then I colored the dragon, the phoenix, flowers and connecting lines with colored pencils in different shades of red and pink and touched up with some water colormarkers and "forever red" perfect pearls. The hard part was cutting out the image. I painstakingly used my X-acto knife and it took about two hours to get all the tiny outlines. The result was well worth the effort though. The photo doesn't do it justice. I adhered the image with glue stick. I forgot to photograph the inside of the card. I used the dragon and phoenix stamp from "Local King Rubber Stamps" in "Worn Lipstick" by Ranger/Tim Holtz.
I hope the "recipe" was understandable. I have started keeping tabs on what I use now, so if I upload again all the information should be available.
Thanks so much for looking.

P.S. the Chinese Symbol means "double happiness" which is traditional for weddings...and no, I'm not Chinese, nor do I have any Chinese ancestors that I know of...I just like Chinese art, the series "Firefly" and dabble a little in Feng Shui for fun...
