After many afternoons of raking and countless garbage bags later, I again ask the age-old question "What do you do with all these @#$% pine cones?!" I created this card using the scales of a pine cone. One down, a gazillion left to go! More details can be found on my blog site: http://www.stampingwithbluemooncreat...christmas

Neat idea! These would make really cool gift tags as well! Here are 2 more ideas for those pinecones....1) tie a loop of twine around the top, smear the sides with peanut butter, roll in bird seed & hang in your trees. The birds go nuts over them. 2) get some craft glue (I used Aileen's--sp??-- Tacky Glue, pour a big puddle on a paper plate and roll the edges of the pinecone in the glue. Dump some glitter in a ziploc bag, add the pinecone, close bag & shake. Let dry on wax paper. The glittered pinecones look awesome piled up in a big bowl. Have fun!

mandypandy, thanks for the great ideas! I can actually feed the birds now that it is winter and the bears are in hibernation! My feeders are out, and bird seed/peanut butter pine cones will be a perfect addition. Glitter pine cones! I'm going to give it a try.
Thanks. Anne
