I made my card late again for QFTD39, Bridget aka bfinlay. I chose this very pretty card from her beautiful gallery of cards to case: Antique Rose IC260 by bfinlay at Splitcoaststampers
I used a different image, stamped my bg instead of using dp, and used a different ribbon.
Bridget, I hope you're enjoying your special time this week!!! I always love your work.
The TLC challenge this week is sponging. I sponged the nestie circle.
I am also making this card for Speedy the Cat's Friends challenge #33 to do paper piecing. I am using a Mark's Finest Papers stamp set I won playing this challenge earlier.
I stamped my image three times so it would really pop, once on designer paper for my paper piecing, stamped leaves with VersaMark on Old Olive, heat embossed, cut out and layered the camellia and leaves on my circle nestie after sponging it while still in the nestie. Used a stamp to make a distressed background, stampin both ways. Added ribbon and sentiment and it's finished.

Brenda, thanks so much for your congratulations and for making a card in honor of my day as Queen, I really appreciate it! I am totally impressed with the bg you stamped, I thought it was dp for sure! I love the dp you used for paper piecing the flower, it looks like woven linen. Gorgeous brown ribbon too - a very beautiful card!

There are so many things to love about your card Benzalina. So many special touches that turned this into a dyn-o-mite card! Love your b/g, sponging, camellia, leaves and that ribbon - YUMMO! Your paper piecing of the flower really turned out well and your embossing takes it up a notch. Well, Well, my lil' Benzi, you did a great job. What is this, no more Christmas cards??? I still have a few more to do. I know I'll bore everyone with mine. Can't wait to do regular cards soon! TFS!
