This is my advent calendar for 2010 Christmas. It is a Kaisercraft advent calendar (http://www.kaisercraft.net/blog/kais...endar-3-ways/). I had to sand and paint, and then sand and glue. I hand made the curtains, and you probably can't see it, but took a piece of designer paper and hand tied the fringe on the rug in front of the fireplace. It was quite time consuming, but came out wonderfully! Well worth the effort, and it something that will hang around for a while. I told my husband that since I did all the hard work, he has to fill it up for me! Can't wait to see what he puts in there.

absolutely beautiful, you have done an incredible job. good luck with the goodies your hubby might put in the boxes for you. Definitely a piece that you could hand down through the family. ENJOY!!!

Rach, you are amazing and this advent calendar is just so great. You did a great job with all the details.I am glad Todd had to fill it up, that makes things fun for both of you. What about next year?
