Congratulations to Sarah aka CriminalGrace for being Featured Stamper. I chose this card as my inspiration: Spritzed Spring Flowers by criminalgrace at Splitcoaststampers
I had just finished making a punch art turkey but didn't know what to make of it let alone what kind of card to make. I thought this card would be perfect for the buyer at work who had a rough week with our turkey order. (I'm talking about 6000lbs of turkey's which was given to someone else by mistake) His email stated that he doesn't want to deal with anymore turkey's....does this count?
Since I didn't have any turkey stamps, I found this blog which shows you step by step instructions on how to build a turkey using punches. Check it out: http://sarahsinkspot.com/blog/punch-art-turkey
I used a large scallop circle punch with SU old olive cs & SU burgundy cs. I followed the steps to make the feathers. I used a large circle punch on SU chocolate chip cs, small circle punch for the circles on his belly. I used a medium circle punch for the head. I used my piercer to make tiny holes for the mini black brads for the eyes. I used a small square punch on SU basic black cs for the hat, cut a small strip of SU basic black cs for the bottom of the hat. I just cut a triangle out of orange glittery adhesive dp for the nose. I used a small heart punch onto SU Really Rust cs for the feet and adhered everything together. I stamped the sentiment with black stazon onto GP white cs. I added another brown circle to the back of the turkey just for more secure. The turkey is adhered directly the the GP white cs which is layered with SU basic black cs. The base of the card is SU Old Olive cs.
