Today's Inspiration Challenge site was Plaid Pony Vintage, where I found lots of interesting vintage stuff from the '50s to the '80s. I was a teen-ager in the 50's so I have seen many of these items up close and personal. When I got to this ice bowl I stopped dead in my tracks. As you can see in my photo, I have glasses that match the bowl.
I stamped some various small leaves in silver onto vellum in silver pigment ink and embossed them. To emulate the glass, I mounted the vellum (backed in white) onto some acetate and "floated" the panel in the silver card base.

Wow, Lois, you really captured the feel of that glass 100 %!! The effect of the vellum and acetate combined is perfect.
I remember the last time we had a site like this I recognised several things - not yet, this time.

OMG! I have my mom's entire glass set of these in the gold tone - so as soon as I saw your card I stopped dead in my tracks. What a great job of capturing the feel of this pattern in your card. The vellum works great to capture the frosted glass look. TFS!

Those glasses are so elegant ... and you translated the design into an equally elegant inspired card (I saw a little bear planter on the site that my Grandmother had given me when I was young ... so fun to see things that evoke great memories) ... wonderful inspired design.

I haven't been to the web site but I have a set of glasses in gold that my grandparents got for a 50th Anniversay gift. Great card! Love your frosted glass!
