A huge thanks to Stef for asking me to sample with her for this weekÂ’s Inspiration Challenge!! It was a thrill to be asked, and I had such fun getting samples ready. This weekÂ’s inspiration site is Plaid Pony Vintage, a small independent company selling vintage clothing, accessories, and housewares for vintage obsessed guys and gals.
What a fun site!! There were so many great choices for inspiration. Because I was born and raised in Ohio, I was immediately drawn to this Ohio souvenir plate. IÂ’ve seen all of those places! So this was a nice trip down memory lane. But more than the nostalgia factor, I was drawn to all of the great design possibilities.
I stamped the design on the large circle myself to imitate the pattern on the plate. I used four different stamps from my four favorite stamp companies: the cardinal (Ohio state bird!!) is from Mark’s Finest Papers, the primrose is from Flourishes, the toile-like vine is from The Angel Company, and the pattern on the photo corners was punched from a chrysanthemum from {ippity}. My card measures 5” x 5” square.
Many thanks to Lisa Lara for the black Nestabilities Lacey Circle die cut that she sent to me very recently in a wonderful die cut RAK!! It was just perfect for the design of this card, Lisa.
Thanks so much for dropping in!
Emily

Emily, this is a beautiful creation. So rich and full of interesting stamped patterns. I like how each one draws you in to linger on the detail. And yeah you for that very cool die!
