I made this card in honour of all the veterans around the world. To those who have served, are serving and to their families - a heartfelt thank you.
Here in Canada, the red poppy is our symbol for Remembrance Day. I used the poppy from Stampin Up's "Beautiful Bloomin" set and the sentiment is from a retired Stampin Up set "Antique collections" which I thought was appropriate for my card. Whenever we see anyone wearing their Lapel Poppy - we remember our Veterans - past and present.

Beatuiful card! Lovely stitching and layering. I also like the aged antique look you've created. I love that sentiment. That's why I wear a poppy every November; even if I can remember the veterans in my heart, the poppy is important as an outward show of support to them and their families.
