This is for today's Technique to stamp w/ water & a late entry for 10/31 FS195 CherylQuilts. Cheryl I hope you enjoyed your week & I'm sorry I did not get a card posted for you earlier.
This is my 3rd attempt at Joan's technique. The stamp was too wet & left a blob, the 2nd time it didn't seem to pick up any color. For the 3rd try, I used watercolor paper. I'm still not sure I've done this right, but here it is.
I chose this Friendship Flower card of Cheryl's to case, changing the layout a little, adding ribbon tabs, changed the stamp & did corner piercing.
I hope you like my version of your beautiful card seen here: Friendship Flower by CherylQuilts at Splitcoaststampers
Cheryl's gallery is chocked full of gorgeous creations & I hope I did her justice.
Thanks for stopping by to take a peek.

Oh, Karen, you tried the TLC challenge today -- good for you! I saw it and just couldn't get around to it. I love that you did it, and it turned out well. I love the piercing -- always adds such a nice touch! Thanks!! It's been a nice week as FS!!

Bugzi, wow, what a coool technique. It's so soft looking. Three times is a charm isn't that what they say? I love that card of Cheryl's and really think you did a great job with your interpretation of hers. DYNO-MITE! And, very worth the extra effort!! TFS!

Karen, I saw this technique yesterday and would have liked to try it. Your image is soft and delicate. Love your pierced corners and pretty ribbon accent. So pretty!

Karen, good job with the technique. Wish I could have gotten to it. Very pretty poinsettia and I like your pierced corners.

I think it is lovely - and how brave to try this technique - I would have said, "hey, wonder what the technique will be next week and skipped it."
