Somebody call 911...'cause my Santa is bleeding!!!! I tried to save this card in so many ways. By the time that it was finished, I had added so much product to it, that I am pretty sure it weighed 6 pounds.
My probem started when I got overzealous with my watercolor markers and waterbrush! Going over the whole piece with Tim Holtz Rock Candy (clear) Crackle Paint didn't help much either! That's when his coat REALLY developed a problem!
So I thought...Let's try a white gel pen (nope). Then I went in with White Picket Fence Crackle Paint (didn't work). How about some White Opal Liquid Pearls?....somebody stop me! I finally just gave up and let it dry...and this morning it had curled into a circle, yikes! To top if off, my gingham ribbon really frayed when I cut it, and I cut my card base so crooked, somebody will be sure that my kids did it (actually they could do better!)
So that is why Michelle's card is super-especially awesome...hers looks AMAZING! Kept the Santa and the Rock Candy paint, and tried to mimic her background paper a bit.
I am sure Michelle's card found a home with some little one who truly loved it...as Michelle is famous for sending many MANY cards to children with illnesses (and even all around the world!)
Congratulations on being our Queen-apoo, Shellapoo!

You may have cased Michelle, but as soon as I saw the gingham and primitive Santa I said to myself that had to be you . Are those Liquid Pearls dots on the paper too? I like the look you ended up with, and darn it, I meant to order that Rock Candy paint and totally forgot.

Just so funny to read your adventure Kelly! I love the paper and the fun ribbon...as for Santa, hopes he stops bleeding before Christmas. Beautiful work! TFS

I kind of like the idea of a "Santa AURA" myself - good call, Hilda, right on the money!!
For all the time and LOVE you've invested in this card, yours will rank right up there at the top for originality,& most techniques used on a single card !! I personally think it looks amazing , like Santa is in my dream!! Don't worry - some kid is going to LOVE getting it, hands down!! You done good!

Avon Lady, that happens to me frequently, so I stopped using UTEE. I actually like that santa's uniform is running ... he's supposed to be running to get himself in shape for the big day. Thanks for helping Michelle continue her ministry!

I like your Santa and I thought his coloring was intentional. It looks great to me. Very pretty card with a very pretty ribbon, and I am sure it will be much appreciated. (I love your title. LOL.)
