After a couple attempts to make a sympathy card this morning, and away all afternoon, I submit my final attempt(sympathy cards are an extreme challenge for me!!!). I embossed this folder with a piece of vellum. I meant to just brush the tops of the embossed flowers with marina mist, but wound up spreading it all over. I layered on white, cut it out. I layered a piece of black paper and cut it out around the flowers. Layered on white card, and added sentiment!
***I edited my card and layered everything on a black card...now I'm done...I think!
Thanks for looking, have a great night...I'll be off to the galleries in a little bit!!

I was glad of the challenge to make sympathy cards as I find them hard too - but CAS seems to be very fitting for them and this is a lovely idea. Vellum is such a soft look, your blue embossed roses are beautiful, with just that touch of black outlining to give definition - I like that Verve sentiment too.

Lisa, this is a fabulous sympathy card. I love how you embossed on vellum--and added color as well. The black outline looks terrific. I didn't see the earlier version, but I think this addition was a plus. Beautiful work!
