This was mysecond attempt and I was bound and determined to not let this technique get me down. I tried pine cones on my first attempt and the heat made the image blob away. I had lots more luck with the thinner silhouette image of the trees. I used Flannel Plaid for my background and you can barely see it as I did it in Antique Linen. I didn't realize how light it would look but after two times I wasn't doing it again. The gold powder seemed to stick everywhere so if I try this technique again I will use my embossing buddy on the clear ep layer before I stamp my image. This was a real challenge for me but lots of fun, Holly and I'm glad I stuck with it.

I had to chuckle when you mentioned what happened to your pinecones because my first attempt was with pinecones -- and my result was probably similar to yours! This turned out really pretty.
My first attempt was a flub. (I did re-do) but I understand what you went through. I am glad you stuck with it. I bet the subtle look of the plaid flannel in the background is really neat IRL.

I'm so glad you stuck w/ this Kittie b/c it's just beautiful. Love the rich colors and that beautiful gold bow. I so wanted to use these trees, but thought they'd be too much. I see yours are perfect!

Kittie, I'm so impressed that you were able to do this technique with such a large stamp and a metallic embossing powder. The metallic melt so fast that I image it was really hard to keep it from blurring out! Great job!

I'm happy that you stuck with it too, Kittie, as this is a real beauty!!! I had that Lovely as a Tree stamp set in my hand to try it, then saw the pine tree and used it instead. I may have to go back to the Lovely as a Tree set and try my hand at it! This is very lovely!
