First let me thank Korin for filling in this week while Roxie has a much needed rest. And second, in the words of our beloved Anne Ryan...'I totally cheated' on this sketch. Not that I didn't try to do SC304. I did. I printed out the sketch, got the oval thing going which didn't work. And after 3 hours, I was determined that I would upload SOMETHING!!! So I have apologized up front. And there are certain parts of SC304 located on my card!!!!
I adore this quote from George Eliot:
Delicious Autumn
my very soul is
wedded to it,
and if I were
a bird I would
fly about the
earth seeking
the successive
autumns.
I stamped this Prickley Pear image directly to my Memory Box Twiggy paper with VersaFine Spanish Moss and embossed with clear. I used the oval shape as a background for my globe (stamped on acetate with Stazon Timber Brown) and the South Pacific map. A blue bird is in flight and the collage postage is a sticker, cool, yeah?
So I'll say I am sorry for not staying in the Sketch Challenge lines...I'll do better next week.....thanks for having at look!

I had a little trouble getting my card to fit the sketch as well. Love this beautiful sentiment and think your card fits perfect for yesterday's Hope You Can Cling to challenge!!! Leaving today for my ministry. Thanks for your prayers, sweet friend!

This is very cool looking!! Very creative!! I love the leaves and fibers in the upper corner. Sometimes you just have to go a little renegade, and I love your results.

So many great details here, I just had to study it for a bit! I love the fibers, the tree image, and the acetate globe - also the bird - everything just fits together perfectly to paint a picture of this great sentiment!

Wow Susan this is gorgeous - I especially love that bird! Who cares whether or not it fits the challenge - the challenges are for inspiring us! And I see the elements of the sketch in your card!
