Here is a new image from Shady Tree Studio; the bell was perfect for my simple layout and very easy to cut out.
-Prismacolor pencils, baby oil and paper stumps were used to color the image using the Gamsol technique. Baby oil replaces the Gamsol/mineral spirits.
-After cutting the image out I used a black marker to color the very edge of the cardstock to give the image more definition.
-The bell and ribbon are paper sculpted using a metal ball stylus and a folded paper towel for cushion. First score lines on the front with a tiny ball then turn the image over and make circular motions with the larger stylus staying away the edges and score lines.
-The embroidery thread was taped to the back of the bell with single sided tape. Before taping to the back of the panel I twisted the thread because this silver unravels very easy and this tighten it up.
-The bell is popped up with tape, I didnÂ’t want a thick foam tape because of the thread line so I use thick dollar store carpet tape and layered for the desired dimension.
-The snowflakes are punched from glitter paper which is plastic coated so it doesnÂ’t shed so Diamond Glaze was used to layer the centers and the back is normal paper so they were attached to the card with AleeneÂ’s tacky glue.
-I did some old fashioned dry embossing to create the tiny stars scattered on the panel and using my Zero Hero ruler that has open dots and lines for embossing I add the two dots on the upper corners.
