Hi! This card was made for today's Technique Lover's Challenge: Make it Shimmer.
I'm seriously thinking I've finally gotten my mojo back, as I am still awake and ready to make another card! LOL
This is a nice technique, and it is easy to do. I stamped the tree in Palette Hybrid Noir. Next, I inked the acrylic block in Distress China Blue. I then stamped the inked acrylic block OVER the tree image! (I was VERY careful to press harder around the edges so that the tree would look highlighted!) I stamped the snowflakes in Distress China Blue around the tree. I used Faber-Castell watercolor pencils to color in areas of the tree. Then, I used an aqua painter to blend. I used the aqua painter to add in Perfect Pearls for shimmer. It blends well with the watercolor pencils. However, you could add sparkle in this manner with glitter or Pearl Ex and a bit of glue mixed on an acrylic block with water. (About 3 drops of water to a 1/2 drop of 2 way glue. This mix dries clear and looks VERY pretty!)
I'm trying to get a BUNCH of Christmas Cards finished before December, because I have a very bad feeling that if I don't, I'll get too swamped to stamp!
I used October Afternoon Good Cheer designer paper for the back panel.
Finished card size: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Total time to complete: 48 minutes.

WOW that tree is just popping off my screen, it's so gorgeous...a shimmering perfect pine! Love the background paper and the sweet charm, Faith! And the ribbon. I guess I just love it ALL!
