I made this card for Susan's (LateBlossom) and now Jennifer Styles' One-Layer Wednesday. The challenge this week is to make a holiday card without using a red, green, white or cream base. I kind of feel like I cheated, but she didn't say "no Kraft!"
My snow globe image and the candy canes inside it are from Repeat Impressions. I stamped the snow globe with black ink and colored the base with a Creamy Caramel marker. I stamped the candy canes with white and embossed with detail white embossing powder and colored with a Real Red marker. The sentiment (two separate stamps) is from Technique Tuesday.

Wow, Lynette! This is adorable! Maybe I will be brave one day and try that OLC challenge... it seems so hard! I love your card!

What a hoot, I too used kraft and felt like I was cheating. The only other logical alternative would have been a black card base with something gold or silver on it.
You're so original, yet traditional at the same time. Candy canes in a snow globe? Must be the first time ever!
