I promised Karen Barber a card with a photo of hydrangeas on it. When I was pulling up the photo I wanted to use, I thought it would work well with today's challenge for a non-square card. I printed enough photos for two cards, but as I have discovered the hard way that you can't heat-emboss photos, Karen's card will have to wait till I print another photo!
Base layer is cut with the largest circle Nestabilities. In order to have a complete circle on the front, I like to cut the card first with a small hinge, and then cut a full circle to layer on it. If it's a plain and not a scalloped circle, I then trim a tiny bit of the bottom of the back of the card base, so that it will stand firmly.
The other two layers are Blossoms 1 and 2, one cut from Basic Grey Sugar Rush and one from my photo. I stamped a swirl on it with Peeled Paint and then added Stickles. Butterfly was punched from a second photo, edged with a marker and lightly wiped with Liquid Pearls for an iridescent finish. I added Liquid Pearls round the blossoms, and little touches of Stickles round the pink base.
