Sorry about the pun, I just had to do it (LOL!)
Again, this card follows on in my masculine series that seems to feature ink blending. I guess I'm just having a lot of fun with it and the guy's just love it.
This one starts out with cutting and embossing an oval of Whisper White CS and leaving the die in place. Next, using the Ink Blending Tool and Foam and Antique Linen, Bundled Sage and Pumice Stone inks I worked in a circular movements to colour the CS until I was happy. Then using the Stamp-a-ma-jig and Versafine Smokey Grey ink, I stamped the Owl near to the top of the oval. Underneath the Owl, I stamped 'thank you' in Vintage Photo ink.
I ran a piece of Chocolate Chip CS through the Cuttlebug in the Tim Holtz Woodgrain EF. I then gently dragged the White ink across it and then the Antique Linen and Vintage Photo inks until I was happy with how it looked.
To make the card I cut my Green Striped Glitter paper the same size as a plain white base card and stuck it to it. I cut the Chocolate Chip piece to 6/16" smaller than that and stuck it to the Green Striped piece. Using foam tape, I stuck the Owl piece to the top right of the Chocolate Chip piece. Finally I put a small dot in each of the Owl's eyes with the artyou Spica clear pen for that added bit of sparkle.
