This is actually quite a simple card that most of my carding friends think that I matted when I didn't (I will explain).
First I cut and embossed a piece of Kraft/Crumb Cake CS with a Nestablilities Rectangle die and then stamped the Footprints stamp on it with the die still in place using the Stamp-ama-jig and StazOn Stone Grey ink.
I then coloured the edge of the stamped embossed piece with an Aqua Painter and the More Mustard Watercolor Wonder Crayon (it makes it look like you've matted the piece when you haven't). Next, I used the Q-tip and the Pastels to colour the scene.
I stamped the word 'Footprints' from the stamp on a scrap of Kraft/Crumb Cake CS and used the Word window punch to punch it out. (I did have to improvise by punching out the shape on a scrape piece of paper & then enlarging it to make it fit first, then tracing it over the word and hand cutting it). I then inked the edge of the piece with Bordering Blue ink.
I embossed a piece of Bordering Blue CS (that was 1/2" smaller than the base card) with CB EF Forest Branches. Next, I swiped across it with the White VersaColor ink (with a very gentle hand) and sponged the edges with Bordering Blue ink. I also sponged the Kraft/Crumb Cake base card with River Rock ink.
To assemble the card, I stuck the embossed Bordering Blue piece onto the centre of the base card. I used foam mounting tape to put the poem piece towards the top of the card and the word 'Footprints' centred underneath it.
