This week's Inspiration Challenge comes from Garnet Hill. I chose this beautiful Japanese Peony Body Wash by Red Flower to inspire my card. I love the way the words and designs show through the translucent body wash, so that is what I tried to capture in my design.
I started by inking Hero Arts Friend Definition with India ink and stamping off one time on a crumpled piece of paper to unevenly remove the ink from the stamp. I then stamped a second time on a scrap of yellow cardstock.
Next I cut out my butterfly from Katie Pertiet's Lifted Wings No. 3. Rather than try to detail cut around the tiny antennae, I just created new antennae with wire, that I attached to the back of the butterfly with tape.
I cut a narrow card base, so my butterfly & sentiment tag could extend over the edges and still fit in a standard A4 envelope. The card base was covered with Making Memories Bird Brocade Acetate Flower Patch (I used super-strong double sided tape under the sentiment tag & butterfly and a few tiny bits of adhesive elsewhere). I finished with a sentiment from Hero Arts Big Hugs.

Okay, gorgeous card here! I love how you stamped off on crumbled paper. Cool idea with great effect. Love the script bg with design over top. Your butterfly is super pretty. This whole card rocks. Spot on for the IC you chose. WOW! TFS :0)

Great idea to have your butterfly and sentiment 'out of the box'! Wonderful BG - you captured the inspiration piece well!
