This card was made from a sketch from the Dare to Get Dirty challenge series in July. As soon as I saw the sketch, I thought of a 45 record. I took off with a 1950Â’s theme working on it right away and then taking my time to put the finishing touches on it. I used one of the few stamps I have that is not StampinÂ’ Up!; I had bought it in a small stamping store when my In-laws were being given a 50Â’s party for their 50th anniversary party and it was up to me to make the invitations. This stamp reminded me of a soda foundation with a jute box from the 50Â’s. I embossed the ice cream sundae stamped image in black and then painted in the ice cream dish with some pink ink and Radiant Pearls. ItÂ’s hard to see in the picture, itÂ’s real pretty and makes the dish look frosted. ThereÂ’s some glitter on the sprinkles on the chocolate ice cream. The record was made by making circular indentations to look like the grooves on a 45 record and then embossing all over with clear powder a few times. It doesnÂ’t fully show how glossy it turned out. The sundae is mounted with Stampin Dimensionals. It was fun to make. TFL
