What a fun card to make. It was even more fun because I made it at work. I scoured the basement and found a lot of interesting things, but no twine, so I ended up using the piece of cotten yarn or whatever it is that comes with a turkey when you buy it. I never use it and always save it and I had taken it to work one day with my cardmaking stuff. So there it is.
I started with a scrap of burgandy CS on a piece of blueprint wrapping paper (looks like Kraft) Then I found a prestamped scrap with Old French Writing and glued that on, and also a tiny piece of dotted dp. It needed to be there.
The picture is from an old Kim Anderson calendar. I save those too. I cut out an oval with the help of my kleenex box top and put on a leftover flower from last week's TLC to use cardboard. I wet the already stamped flower, pulled it apart and made a 'shadow' with the back piece.
Sentiment is computer generated and I had to give it to DH. We have a family owned business and when one has a bad day, we all do. The inside says, "I always think of you". tfl

Oh you vintage girl you! I LOVE this! How cleverly you put it together. I never thought of saving the string from the turkey!! Bet I will now. LOL Love the cute pix and how you did the 'left over' flower. Very creative card GF.

Aw, this is so sweet! Love your recycled card... now I know why I save old calendars! And string. And scraps of paper. Thanks for letting me know I'm not the only one...

I really love your card!!! The picture of the boy and girl is precious. Your distressing looks so perfect. It's funny how when I do it, that I don't think it looks right. I love the colors too. I can't believe you did that at work. It looks like you were relaxed and took all of the time you needed to. A bunch of perfect details together. :>)
