Finally... here is my card for our reigning SCS Queen Phyliss aka SparklePlenty1000. If you haven't taken a trip through Phyliss's gallery, you definitely should take a cup of coffee and a long stroll through her gallery of almost 500 cards! Lots of fun layouts and inspiration there! I chose this card to case as it's my dh's birthday tomorrow and needed a masculine card...... MMTPT107 Fishing Creel by SparklePlenty1000 at Splitcoaststampers.....
When we go fishing we always see bald eagles and they are so magestic and beautiful to watch. I embossed the eagle in Espresso and colored it with a blender pen and colored in the white parts with the signo gel pen from Anne Ryan. Then clear embosssed over it. Sponged around the image with tea dye distressing ink.
Stamped the trees from Plant Hope on kraft cardsstock and sponged chocolate chip around it. Paper peirced the corners. I tied knots in the artichoke ribbon binding and added some hemp.
the rest is self explanitory.
Congratulations Phyliss on your well deserved crowning! I hope you are enjoying your week! Happy Birthday as well!

Peggy-Sue this is a very handsome masculine card!! Great wooden looking background paper! I love that eagle and the colors - so manly!! I want to thank you for playing in the QFTD25. I am just having a wonderful time being Queen!! I know you remeber it well! I have been hatching a plan to make Anne let me stay Quuen for an extended period, do you have any DIRT I can use for a little gentle persuasion?? I keep hoping she will be too busy in real estate to remember to select a new Queen, or maybe she will get a cramp in her dart throwing arm. I am not going to be ready to turn in the crown, cloak and scepter!! This has just been a blast!! Hope you DH has a wonderful Birthday. Seems like all the great people are born in September!! Mine is September 2 just the day before I was chosen Queen!! Wasn't that a wonderful birthday present?? Anne got me the perfect gift, no exchanges or returns here!

Ah, wait just a minute here. I didnt see anywhere that Phyllis mentioned 'thanks for the crown.' Am I missing something here or what? Did the poor girl ever get the crown? You know, you cant keep that thing forever. C'mon now, let the next person enjoy the diamonds and gold. Can you or can you not play nice in the sandbox?

Oooh, do I love this one, Peggy-Sue. Must be your DH will be home to celebrate his birthday tomorrow? Good for you; I suspect good for him, too. Masculine from beginning to end with these darker colors and image. It's a masterful card, sweet friend.

Awesome MAN-CARD, Peggy Sue!!! Love your eagle!! I had to go clear cross country to ALASKA to see my first one in the wild!!Love the stamped and pierced BG, the multi layers of GUY colors all sponged up nice and masculine-y, and the way you used the knotted twine and seam binding to contrast on top of the Lattice EF!! TWO THUMBS UP on this baby!
Phyllis is gonna be so happy to see how you "tweaked" her card and got this!!! Into my favs, GF!!!

What a majestic eagle and you made him even more so with all the coloring and embossing. What a great card for your DH, especially since you see eagles when you fish. That makes it even more special. I really like your hemp and binding over the panel. Awesome work, Peggy-Sue!!!
