Another one of the seven sympathy cards I made for my cousins who recently lost their dear Mom - my great-aunt.
Slowly finding my way back to creating some cards after a rather "interesting" summer...
This card is a blatant CASE of a beautiful card made by Karen Menghini called You're On My Mind. All I've changed is the colour of the flowers and, instead of white brads, I've used colours that matched my papers. I changed the sentiment and layered it using punches. Used Brilliance Sky Blue ink to sponge the scalloped oval layer behind the sentiment - it gave it a wonderful metallic look. I loved Karen's card and will fall back on the expression "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" to account for my unabashed CASEing of her card. Thanks for the inspiration. I will be doing this card again. So easy to do.

Heather, this is lovely with those flowers and kraft paper. It really suggest that life is renewed. I love that you're remembering your cousins in their loss. Great card.

This is so pretty with those lovely flowers. It is nice to find a way to use scraps, isn't it? This is sure to uplift the recipient.
