Today we are having tea with Tilly Tubberfly. Apparently she has two uncontrollable teenage sons. Our mission is to "gently" influence them in the right direction. Confused....go here for the complete story.....my card....
I did some research for this one. Thought if I knew what butterflies eat I could use that to draw them in. Well, butterflies don't eat. Imagine that, they only drink. So I made a butterfly feeder, spiked the nectar and added a brightly colored flower to the upside down jar. Put a piece of cotton in the hole I punched in the lid so they will be able to unwind their tongue to suck out the nectar. Bet you never thought you'd be learning something on a Teapot Tuesday! hehe
I also got to thinking about when a hunter hunts geese. He puts out goose decoys to attract the real ones. So I have also put out decoys only they are "butterfly" decoys. If the juice don't get them renegade teenage butterflies, maybe the decoys will. hehe
Plus I have a back-up plan. Always have a back-up plan. Curt has offered to wear a hat with sliced oranges on it. Another attraction for a butterfly.
Well, hope one of these does the trick. In case you're wondering coloring was done with re-inkers and copics, and sponging.
Must say, there are some mighty pretty cards in the gallery today. Jackie, who is at our destination station today, is going to love them all! Hope you like mine....TFL :0)

Another fun card from your creative mind. I think you are on to something. I bet butterflies everywhere would appreciate a butterfly feeder on every block especially if the nectar is spiked!

Oh my! Love the "story" or should I say lesson on catching butterflies. I was concerned when I first saw the card that Curt had some business venture in mind . . . glad to see he is being a help today.
The glass jar with the cotton and the flower on top is amazing. Everything is wonderfully colored. A great card!
