Summer has flown and I am so far behind with the SCS challenges I was going to do that I can no longer recall which ones they were. You could say our summer took a sideways turn the day our basement flooded...
I have been trying to catch up on the QFTD challenges however and managed to make a few cards to honour some of the recent "recipients of the crown". Still have my list of the other SCS royalty that I haven't managed to CASE yet...
A very special great-aunt of mine recently passed away - she was 96 and her funeral was more of a celebration of a wonderful life than a sad occasion. She will be dearly missed by the entire family so I made seven different cards - one for each of her children.
QFTD22 was Mothermark - a truly inspiring SCSer. I chose her Blue Wednesday card to use as my inspiration. Thanks for the inspiration and for your contributions to SCS Cindy!

What a wonderful card! I love the color you put to the image. I am so tickled that my 4 sympathy cards inspired you to get make your wonderful card! I can totally relate to your story about your basement! We had that happen one year and its such a shock...such a shame....and such a chore! OMG! It could easily consume a summer!
I am sorry to hear about your Aunt! I know what you mean about more of a celebration. My husband lost his mother in April she was 92 and I lost my grandmother in August, she was 97. They both lived happy, long and relatively healthy lives......it was a sad thing but we all realize their lives can't go on forever! I am glad you have a your memories of her to comfort you. Your cards will be cherished I am sure!
Thanks for playing along! It was quite the honor! I appreciate you spending time in my gallery and the kind words you left. Hugs.

What a lovely collage image, Heather! I really like how you colored it--and stacked all those scalloped nesties. Another beauty of a sympathy card
