As soon as I saw the tecnique challenge this week was to use recycled corrugated cardboard boxes the idea to make these roses immediately popped into my head.
I skinned my cardboard piece, rubbed it with my mellon mambo pad, cut a circle out and then cut a coil out of the circle. I was able to make these three roses from one 4 inch square of cardboard.
The rest was just layering branches from the bird punch over the pacific point sponged background pieces, melon mambo scalloped circle and a piece of ribbon.
I put yellow stickles in the center becasue I decided they would be wild prairie roses.
The card is for a colleague at work who did a huge niceness for me on Saturday night and who appreciates art and creative things. So I'm going to give her this card as a thank you. I chose the prairie rose because we're both from western Canada and are transplants to Ontario.
This was such a fun challenge. Hope you like my twist on it and TFL.
