Have you ever thought about what it would be like to live to be 100? Some large birds like this parrot might live to be 100 years old but just like humans they would have to be very healthy and well-looked after. But to be a human being and to live that long - well what an accomplishment! But how about this - my friend Jackie has befriended a woman by the name of Mrs. Eula Cousins. Mrs. Cousins is going to celebrate her 108th birthday on September 14th.
When I shared that with our Teapot Queen she agreed that this would be a very good Destination Station so we're off on another adventure with Starlet and Beaufer and whomever else wants to join us to celebrate 108!!! What a wonderful surprise this will be!
I wanted to bring a friend of Starlet's but I didn't have a parrot stamp so I watercolored this one - (SHHHH - don't tell my DH that cards can be made without stamps!)
I should have painted Kirby my cockatiel, but he wouldn't sit still, but he lent me some of his feathers for props.
Thanks Cindy for a wonderful teapot this week and for getting Mrs. Cousins' story out there! Let's get this party rolling.

WOWZERS Lorraine! Your parrot is amazing! Love the layout of your card. I see we both used the same sentiment... it's just perfect for Ms. Eula's 108th birthday!
Hope no cockatiels were inked in the making of this card.

What a fabulous bird you painted. I didn't have stamps that worked so I ended up painting mine as well. You must have amazing conversations with Miss Eula.

This card rocks! You rock for giving us the idea to honor Eula at 108! She is an amazing person and I hope she enjoys her special birthday cards. Yours is awesome, incredible that you used no stamps! That was a whisper...Starlet is listening! I will follow her around and make sure she keeps her trap I mean beak shut!
