This is for TLC288 to use recycled cardboard. I saw this project early this morning and instantly thought of cutting out a Sizzix evergreen tree out of cardobard. I thought about it at work today and couldn't wait to see if I could get home early enough to play. I cut my tree from a box and then cut another out of cardstock to use the void as a template. Using a sponge I applied color over the void several times moving the template around to create a forest background. I applied ink directly to the cardboard tree with the ink pad. I used a needle to pull the linen thread through a few places to tie country knots and then tied a little bow for the tree topper. Yuck! Nothing really looked good so I thought falling snow and ground cover would help so I used vanilla craft ink and it still didn't help much. I thought country looking twill might help add a little zip but it didn't either. I decided to photograph the card and upload it anyway since I put effort into it. It just goes to show how much better something can look in our heads than on paper. : )

Isn't it funny how often what we make is not what we MEANT to make? I think your forest is lovely, actually. It has a great "country" feel to it and the falling snow adds a lot.
