This is my card for the TPT challenge this week. What's with Tuesdays, I have a head-cold again and all I want to do is go to bed. To my total amazement DH liked this, and has earmarked it to send to a friend going through a hard time, so I don't think this particular card is going to make it to Destination Station CO. No story, except that when I read all about Margaret this morning, I noticed that her daughter studied in the Sorbonne, which is also where my mother studied. So I put Margaret in her green dress into a Paris setting...
A2 black base.
See-Ds' image stamped onto white card with Versafine Black. I stamped the fan onto another scrap of card. Masked the image and stamped En Francais (StazOn Stone Grey), Medallion (silver ink, clear EP) and the Eiffel Tower (copper ink, clear EP). Sponged the background with Antique Linen, Scattered Straw, Milled Lavender and Pine Needles. Coloured image and fan with coloured pencils and Gamsol. Tore the edges and sponged them again with green, added the fan layered up on foam. For the look of the lacquered wood on the fan I used a black Sakura glaze pen.
I guess with all those stamps this also gains entry into the F4A challenge from last Friday, three different companies there .

This is absolutely gorgeous! I can see why your DH wanted to send it. I love how you did your background. I hope you feel better soon.

Margaret and Helen loved Paris and I love your card!! Helen had been traveling with Margaret when a telegram was received about the sick grandchild. Helen decided to travel on to Paris rather than board the Titanic with Margaret. It was the social season in Paris and Helen was looking for a husband. One had to look in the right circles you know to find the right husband!!
