This is for FS185 and Heather aka Princessheather is our inspiration artist today. Congratulations, Heather!! You have a wonderful gallery. I was inspired by Heather's NW Christmas SC294 - NW Christmas by Princessheather at Splitcoaststampers. I kept Heather's NW Christmas tree theme and olive color scheme but changed the layout of the card and used vanilla cardstock instead of white. I used a tree from the Rubbernecker Evergreen tree set and feel it also represents the NW trees. I stamped the tree on vanilla cardstock with black craft ink and heat dried. Using dry brushes wiped directly on the ink pads to gather the ink I used a stipple type brushing motion to add the greens and brown to the tree limbs and trunk. I heat dried each color before moving on to the next to avoid smudging the two colors together. I sponged on light yellow ink around the tree to highlight and heat set. My final step was to apply the snow on the branches using a dry brush with thick white chinese watercolor paint that had no water added.
