It's hard to tell in the picture, but this card was made using the salted background technique. We practiced using this technique at our August stamping club meeting. This is the background Shirley (our SU Demonstrator) made and gave to me to make into a card. She added a little extra to the technique by spritzing lightly with water after drying the salt with the heat tool, then drying it again.
The father & son stamp and a couple of other scenery stamps were stamped on the salted background using Memento Black Ink. Then they were colored with both Copics and SU markers.
