Unfortunately, I ended up in the hospital with a kidney stone today, so my post will be limited.
** ETA ** My card was inspired by the lady bug plate from Pink Taffy Designs. I needed a birthday card for my adorable nice Lydia Belladonna, who is affectionately called Liddybug, so I chose this cute Ladybug Plate to inspire my design.
I couldn't find a lady bug stamp in my collection, so I decided to work with a free online coloring book page instead. I imported the image into Photoshop and erased the background, so I could layer digital papers into my lady bug image.
I selected the different sections of my lady bug and created copies. Next I layered the Sun Fun Maraschino Paper (free from Jessica Sprague). I watched Shari Carroll's video on how to change the colors of digital embellishments, and used the same technique to alter the color of my designer paper slightly to provide contrast between the top & bottom of my lady bug. When my lady bug was colored the way I wanted, I saved all of the layers as a *.JPG, and started on my card design.
I created a blank template in PhotoShop the size of my card front & dragged in another digital paper from a discontinued Vera Lim collection that actually started as yellow, but I used the same colorization technique to change into this wonderful contrasting green. Next I added a layer with two copies of the Hero Arts Digital Birthday Definition and a Vera Lim Overlay, before plopping my lady bug into the middle. When I was finished, I printed out the front of my card, and adhered it to a cardstock base.
I finished by stamping the sentiment from Hero Arts Adorable Baby Girl on a piece of yellow card stock and adding some coordinating red pearls.
