I created this card for my DH. It is our 38th anniversary this Thursday, August 19th. He used to have a bass boat, and he loved to fish. But he got hurt 8 years ago, and the boat just got too hard for him to handle. So when I saw this image from Sara England Designs, I just had to buy it. I know it is going to bring him some wonderful memories.
I used three other stamps as well. I used the cattails and dragonfly from ODBD. It is from their "With Heartfelt Sympathy set". I used the grass from SU's set "Inspired by Nature". And last but not least, the sentiment is from Stampendous. I wanted the main image to look like it was in a lake setting fairly close to the shore line. I chalked the sky to "hopefull" give it the feel of late evening as the sun is going down. I added eyelets in the corners, because they reminded me of the eyes on fishing poles for the fishing line.
Nothing fancy by any means, but I sure do hope my DH enjoys it as much as I enjoyed making it for him.
Thanks for stopping by and taking a look. I always enjoy your visits.
