I was so excited today to see that the technique loverÂ’s challenge was about new ways to use ribbon. I have been reading the thread it referenced with enthusiasm and IÂ’m so excited to try some of the ideas in it. I may be making cards for this challenge for weeks!
Here's my first. I designed this card for a child's birthday card swap. I hope they weren't only expecting cards for tots, because my children are older and I thought it would be fun to include something that a teen would like. I have seen frayed ribbon on cards before, but this is my first time to try it. I LOVE how it turned out, just the right sort of chaos for this card. I also had a blast using words in the fabulous phrases set as part of the background. The girl is imked up with versamark and classic ink at the same time so I could heat emboss her.
I hope you like it. TFL!
