OK, this is going to be a longer description since I was trying some new techniques here. If you want to skip it, you won't hurt my feelings! : )
First of all, thank you, Connie Jo, for the lovely stamped image you sent me. I wanted to do something special with it. I appreciate your kindness. Connie Jo has told me this is an old SU set called "Abundant Joy".
Button, button...where is the button? Yes, it is there under that 1/2 pearl to cover up the unsightly holes.
The first technique my DD showed me when I visited her in April. I took light-weight paper and randomly stamped the scrolly image from Vintage Vogue in 2 shades of green ink. I came back with a darker ink and stamped a few separate leaves from the same set. I sponged on some colors, then wadded it all up! Next I smoothed it out and ran my sponge with a soft brown on it, lightly over the whole thing. Voila!....my own DP.
The next technique was to make my own shimmer spritz spray. I had purchased a Smooch Spitz and it was a MESS. I threw it out!! I made my own with a Tim Holtz empty mini mister. I filled it 3/4 full with water and added a little scoop of gold Perfect Pearls, and shook vigorously....and spritzed away. Much more economical with MUCH better results. I'm off to buy more of those mini misters. ; )
If you are still with me....TFL!! : )

Thsi is so beautiful. Love the dp you made and the colors. Also love your home made spritz and the seam binding ribbon. I have been mixing my own spritz lately too. My favorite so far is with rubbing alcohol and SU champagyne shimmer paint

All of your hard work payed off on this one Sallie!!! Your card is gorgeous!! I love the bg you created behind your rose. Every detail is as nice as the next and yes, you even have a button in there. Cool idea to add a pearl on top. Beautiful!!!
