I loved some of the buckles in the IC site, but I think I am a bit tired and found it hard to get inspired. IN the end I went for the Finch Buckle, taking my inspiration from the colours. Once I decided to use this Flourishes stamp I decided to also go for the Flourishes Tuesday challenge, to make a card with no embellishments.
To get the dark background of the buckle, I stamped the image on a piece of dark brown Basic Grey with white StazOn. By the time I had gone and made my blueberry and lemon muffins for morning coffee, it was dry enough to colour with pencils. I cut an aperture in a piece of blue Bazzill, and the next size down from some more Basic Grey. I embossed and sponged the golden brown layer for extra texture.
Cuttlebug Vintage Corners added in the top corners.
SU fancy scallop punch, with some crimped paper along it. HA sentiment stamped with brown, cut out, ends rounded with a circle punch and sponged.
No ribbon, DH says, approvingly.
