Congratulations to my friend and reigning Queen Francie on being chosen as Queen for the Day this week! Francie, your work is always stellar and so beautiful. I had such a difficult time deciding which card to case until I happened upon your beautiful Challenge Bayou Blue Bird card seen here:
I knew it was the perfect card to case for a good friend of mine who lost her husband almost a year ago now, and I want to send her a card to let her know I'm thinking about her on this first anniversary of his passing.
I love how Francie created her background designer paper with the soft stamping of butterflies, birds and heart accented by the bolder color of the flourishes.
Things I changed:
1. colors
2. no ribbon
3. used rounded corner slot punch instead of photo corner punch
I stamped the God's Beauty butterfly onto cardstock, cut it out and adhered it over the same butterfly image stamped onto the base cardstock, lifting his wings a bit for dimension.
Congratulations, Francie! I hope that crown isn't too heavy for your pretty head!
