With permission, I'm letting the cat out of the bag. I own 200 hobbydujour cards because I am her daughter. EVERYTHING I know about stamping has been taught to me by her and she is my daily inspiration. I'm so happy for her that she has been picked for the Queen of the Day. I think she always tries to give positive and encouraging comments to so many people. I will never be able to come close to her coloring expertise.
Hopefully, I have not embarrassed her too much by uploading one of her earlier cards. It took a long time before she had the courage to start uploading on SCS. It was so nice of her to send a weekly card to my DH while he was undergoing chemotherapy in 2007. He really liked knowing that someone was thinking of him during that time. The cards were always a treat to open from the mail.

This is very special for me, Carrie! I am truly proud of the lovely cards you have created. But more than that, it is so much fun to share a hobby with you....we both get excited about new items and ideas, but create different cards in the end! : ) It is touching to me that you dug thru "the archives" and used a card from years ago to CASE. Thanks and hugs! mom

Awww, what a sweet thing to do daughter of Sallie (lol). I think your mom does have as much talent as kindness and the fact that she sent your dh cards reminds me of what I did for my sis when she was battling cancer and lost. But it was always a pleasure to hear her voice all excited about the new card, which was a very sad sight because I was just starting to craft way back then...
Anyway sorry to go on, but you did something very sweet today for your mom. I don't think she will be embarassed. The card is beautiful and the thought behind it so kind!
Have a nice day and so glad you can share your story with us.
Oh, how sweet! Beautiful! Thank you for sharing your story! It is so nice that both daughter and mother have this wonderful interest to share with each other!
