I tried my hand at this and also discovered that I am allergic to chalk...this after laughing about a story about a teacher at the high school in my district who had to get a pretty expensive piece of equipment b/c she could use chalk. Using the chalks made my nose stuff up and had me running for my inhaler!! I use the dustless chalk in my classroom and rarely have to write on the board (I teach students with severe disabilities and do a lot of functional activities) so now I know...I'm allergic to chalk too!!!
I rarely use the pastels so I looked at Beate's tutorial posted in the technique section. She suggested tracing around the image with brown maker. I did that and I am not sure if I like it or not. I also distressed the edges and the DP, added some stickles to the flowers, humming bird and butterfly.
