I made this card for the Repeat Impressions SOTW: http://www.thehousethatstampsbuilt.c...at-blue-heron/
and it is also for TLC281 - Embossing on Embossing
I stamped the Great Blue Heron with Versafine ink onto white PaperTrey card stock and embossed it with clear embossing powder. I colored in parts of the heron with colored pencils. I then brayered the sky and water and sponged in some grass. After using a white gel pen for the highlights I dry embossed the image panel with a Cuttlebug embossing folder (it is a frame with a design on the left side - I had a hard time getting a good picture of the dry embossing).
ETA: I took more pics and I think I captured the dry embossing better in this new pic.

Oh Harriet, do I ever love this. I spent about half an hour this morning watching a heron, I think they are such lovely birds. Really beautiful sponging, and I can see the embossing so well. Mind you, I know what you mean - any photos of mine that showed the stickles well didn't show the embossing so much.
